Within the frame of UN Joint Program for “SUSTAINING LIVELIHOODS AFFECTED BY THE ARAL SEA DISASTER” 202 UZB400.2, under the direct supervision of UNESCO Head (Tashkent Representative office) NGO KRASS in close collaboration with the Urgench State University named after Al-Khorezmi, conducted seminars on February 27-March 1, 2013 as following: “Dissemination of modern technologies on innovative saltresistant plants in specific conditions of the Aral Sea basin”. About 100 farmers from 3 districts of Karakalpakstan took part in the seminars (Beruni, Turtkul, Ellikala). The themes of the semonars ar as follows: Innovations in agriculture, modern technologies in plants growing on degraded and marginal lands, effective methods of water use.

Within the frame of UN Joint Program for “SUSTAINING LIVELIHOODS AFFECTED BY THE ARAL SEA DISASTER”, under the direct supervision of UNESCO Head (Tashkent Representative office) NGO KRASS in close collaboration with the Urgench State University named after Al-Khorezmi, conducted seminars on November 26-29, 2013 as following: “Training of agricultural consultants of resource saving innovation technologies for sustainable development of South Karakalpakstan”. 12 representatives from agricultural, educational and administrative sectors from 3 disctricts of Karakalpakstan took part in the trainings (Beruni, Turtkul, Ellikala). The title of trainings are: concept of sustainable development, particular for Uzbekistan, tasks and methods of agricultural consulting services, functions of agricultural consultants, planning of consultant services, innovation technologies in land and water use.

Upon the request of the local authorities of the Khorezm Region in close collaboration with Urgench State University named after Al-Khorezmi as well as with active support of the regional Khokimiyats, the specialists of NGO KRASS together with the scientists of UrSU conducted seminars on 3-7 of December 2013 in 10 disctricts of the Khorezm Region: “Innovation technologies-factors for suistable development”. About 3000 farmers took an active part during the seminars.
